Listeriosis is a very serious infection that is caused by a bacterium called listeria.  It is not very common, and most people wouldn’t have any idea what kind of symptoms are involved with this infection.  However, it is important to know the symptoms in case one would get infected.  Most people will get a fever and muscle aches.  Often times it is possible to be nauseated or to get diarrhea.  If it spreads throughout the body and into to the nervous system it can cause more serious symptoms such as convulsions.  It’s very important to see a doctor if one has these symptoms.
