Spotting an ebay fake is not that simple

2:30 pm Internet and Businesses Online

While most ebay buyers might consider themselves to be shrewd purchasers and street-wise when parting with their hard-earned cash, I am a realist! Spotting an ebay fake is not an easy task. Typically, when something is a great deal cheaper than the other sellers of suppliers it might give a  strong suggestion that the product is fake. However, there are many reasons why a product may be cheaper than all others advertised, including end-of-line products, store closures and special price deals. Admittedly, I was stung from a purchase of an Ipod from Hong Kong. Feedback was very good for the company concerned, but I did not realise that this was due to them selling a large number of cheaper items, such as screen protectors. Suffice it to say that the ipod looked the part when it first arrived but once I had turned it on I realised the software was not genuine. I sent the item back and was refunded and ebay were informed. I guess sometimes it pays to buy from a more reliable source!
