My mother and I are dual caretakers for a dear family friend of ours, who we refused to send to a nursing home. But with that said, even we needed an occasional helping hand at times. I looked into sitter city and found a lovely nurses aid, that was more than willing to provide compassionate care when we were wither at work or out running errands. Our friend loves the new helper, and enjoys their visits. This is welcome news for us and a great relief as well. Even caretakers like us need to take time for themselves on occasion.
