The other day at work I noticed a nice neat line of what looked like new trash cans sitting in the back hallway. Upon closer examination, I discovered that they were battery recycling bins. I didn’t even know such things existed, although I had heard that you could donate your dead cell phone and old glasses. It seems that these bins are for disposing of batteries that are no longer any good. Companies take them and recycle them somehow. This keeps them out of trash landfills and prevents the acid from corroding and damaging our environment. It sounds like a great idea. Anything that slows down the damage we are doing to our children’s future world seems really good to me.
